A Lotus & Ivy Pod provides in-person, Waldorf-inspired homeschool enrichment. Students do not need to be enrolled in Lotus & Ivy Virtual Classes to join our Pods. All homeschoolers are welcome. Click on the images to learn more.
Pod Daily Rhythm
Our Pod holds classes on Fridays and Mondays in Sacramento. Students may choose to attend on one or both days.
Pod program days are 10am - 2:30pm.
Our Pod is located in Land Park near downtown Sacramento. We rent a beautiful indoor and outdoor space from a local church. Please email us for the church address.
Kindergarten
IN ORDER TO BEGIN KINDERGARTEN IN THE FALL, THE STUDENT MUST HAVE TURNED 5 BY MAY 1ST OF THAT YEAR.*
Fridays & Mondays in the Kindergarten will follow the same rhythm for the students, but activities, topics, and lessons will be different.
Mondays: Morning Circle Time, Show-Around, Main Lesson Enrichment, Snack Recess, Arts & Crafts & Seasonal Activities, Handwork, Lunch, Free Play, Spanish, Closing Circle
Fridays: Morning Circle Time, Main Lesson Enrichment (which includes Storytelling, Arts & Crafts, Gardening, & Seasonal Activities), Snack Time, Handwork, Lunch, Free Play, Spanish, Closing Circle

*Main Lesson Enrichment includes Art, and Main Lesson topics for Class 1 include Fairy Tales, Language Arts, Math and the Four Operations, and Nature Science. Practical Arts for Class 1 includes clay work, gift-making, book-making, cooking, and more. (Food allergies and dietary restrictions are considered with cooking.)

STEM Special Enrichment includes various hands-on projects such as making a boat that floats, an egg-drop challenge, building a bridge that holds weight, and more.

STEM special enrichment includes projects such as building a bristle bot, a doodle bot, making a lemon circuit, egg-drop challenge, exploring sound and color, and more.
